Peasant Costume Guidelines:

*the upper skirt usually newer than underskirt, tucked up out of the dirt.

Men's Fashion:

At least a tunic and breeches,
laced-up or button-up jerkin with
or/ without sleeves, some kind
of hat with a giggins underneath,
cloth hosen (stockings) or cross
gardered pajama pans, and shoes;
maybe a cape for cold weather.

Also: pouch, small knife, objects
pertaing to his profession, etc .

Women's Fashions:

At least long sleeved shift, 2 skirts*, and laced
or buttoned bodice with or without removable
sleeves, apron, hair braided and covered by biggins, muffin cap, straw hat, knee length colth hosen
held up by garter ties (stockings) , shoes, shawl

Also: pouch, small eating knife, basket to carry
things in etc...

 

Acceptable Costume Colors:
Rust - Iron, Earth
Red - Berry, Rose
Yellow - Daffodil, Marigold
Onion - Wheat, Ocher
Blue - Blueberry, Heather, Cornflower
Brown - Bark, Earth, Cocoa, Walnut
Orange - Autumnal, Carrot
Pumpkin - Squash, Peach
Green - Forest, Hunter, Evergreen , Moss, Pea-green, Spring-green, Apple-green
Grey - Light Charcoal, Dove, Barnboard
Off-White

Acceptable Costume Fabrics/Trims:
100% cotton, 60%/40% cotton/poly blends only if cloth isn't shiny
Linen, Muslin, Leather, Wool, Denim (no blue jeans),
Twill, Duck, Trigger

Grosgrain Ribbon, Plain Upholstery Gimp
Piping, Rattail, Bias Tape, Webbing Tape
Simple Embroidery, Rope or Hemp Cording or Braid

Closures:
Bone, Wood, Nut Buttons, Lacings, some Hook & Eye
(buttons don't have holes through them)
